bcdedit /set {default} bootmenupolicy legacy

This should enable the F8 key function for booting into SafeMode. Simply press the F8 key right before the Windows logo appears in order to jump into the SafeMode selection screen.

HOW TO BOOT INTO SAFE MODE FROM NORMAL MODE

Windows 10 also gives user the ability to to switch from normal mode to safe-mode directly without messing up their boot times. Here’s how –

  1. Open up Run.
  2. Type in msconfig and press ok.

  1. This would open up the system configuration tool.
  2. Head over to the boot menu.

  1. In the boot menu click on SafeMode to enable it and press ok.

  1. The should prompt you to restart your computer, do so to switch to SafeMode from normal mode.
